Pole Dancing – Lose Weight the Fun Way!

Pole dancing classes are quickly becoming a popular way to lose weight and tone muscles. Once only performed in strip clubs it is now a fashionable and fun new way to improve fitness. The classes teach woman new moves that are not only fun, but also helps them lose weight and use lots of different muscle groups at the same time. Most women take the classes wearing high-heels which boosts the impact of the exercise.

So why have pole dancing lessons for fitness become so popular?

Several reasons really, after all this isn’t your plain old aerobic or step class it’s actually quite fun and increases self esteem. Women feel great about learning new sexy moves which they can take home to show there partner. The rhythmic music makes the class even more exciting and the fact that men are strictly forbidden at the class is a bonus.

Offering several advantages each woman can start at a different level depending on her fitness, ability and how often she attends the class this will determine how quickly results can be seen. The easiest moves are simple. Just shaking the bottom, undulating the body and learn to walk sexily on and around the pole. These moves require coordination and balance, but once mastered more advanced moves can be learned.

A huge part of the class is learning to spin, a number of different moves must be learnt to utilize the spin properly. Starting out, you will simply walk around the pole then progress into spinning around the pole with both feet on the ground. Next, hook a leg around the pole and spin. Then both legs are used. Once mastered, the exercise is to slowly spin down the pole while holding the body horizontal to the bar. This move requires a lot of upper body strength to accomplish. A lot of women wonder exactly how long it will take them to be able to perform the Dance Moves correctly. It really depends on their fitness level to begin with, but most women will be able to move on to the advanced moves within a few months of regular classes. It takes several weeks to get the basic moves down, but from there they can build up to the more advanced moves quickly.

Even though pole dancing classes can’t exactly be classified as easy, they certainly are a lot of fun and they really don’t feel like exercising at all.
